Burgundy Love!

Wearing a Lipsy London dress with  a floral Fringe Kimono and  Forever21 heels

Hello!

How are you beautiful people doing tonight? I'm terribly sorry to keep you guys waiting for my third post. I have been down with fever and cold and it just gets worse in this changing weather. Ugh! I'm a lot better now considering the amount of medicines that I have taken in the past three days (hate swallowing them). Lol

Anyway, so the other day I had my girlfriends come over to Delhi from Chandi. We decided to meet over for Lunch in Greater Kailash. Just when we were strolling about and around on the pavement, I came across this shop vendor there who was selling beautiful clothes. The first thing that caught my attention was this beautiful Kimono, that I'm wearing in the picture above. Also, its very affordable. (Yesss! Things like this make me so happy.) Which women doesn't like to shop for less?

To put together a new look for the Blog, I paired a nude Lipsy London dress (also available on Koovs Fashion) with a floral Fringe Kimono that I'd picked up from the street market of Greater Kailash. I chose the intense reddish-burgundy to add a bit of color. The golden studded heels and the bow belt are both from Forever21 again, which I had gifted myself on my 22nd birthday. Haven't worn them more than twice. (Guilty!) The best part about this look is my absolute favourite lipstick from MAC in Diva. It's a gorgeous shade and it doesn't make my lips dry or cling to any dry patches that severely. A must have for anyone wanting to have a first good dark lip. Also, MAC lipsticks can be a little expensive, so try going for the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 107, a total dupe for Diva, which is not only amazing but a third of the price, for those of you looking for a not so expensive lipstick. Finally, the sunglasses are from Charles & Keith.

Hope this post was helpful for you guys! Please post in any questions that you might have, I'll be more than happy to reply! Have a goodnight my lovelies!

The sweltering summer...

Paired a Forever21 Crop Top with Westside Palazzo and Zara moccasins
Hello there my girls! I'm so excited to share with you my page views from my First Blog! Ever since the post went up, I have had 397 views to be exact (till now). YESSSS!! Only in 28 hours! Its unbelievable! Still sinking in. I'm so happy and grateful to each and everyone of you for this crazy response. :)

OKAY! So back to being normal now. Having discussed Winter in my last post, I'll be talking about my favourite season here. I personally love summers. For me, Summer means happy times and good sunshine. It means going to the beach, or to Disneyland and having FUN. The Sun in this weather is scorching and its always a good idea to dress in loose and comfy clothes. I would recommend you girls to wear light coloured clothes as it helps you to reflect the sunlight instead of absorbing it. Go for pastels. They are always in fashion. Pick up prints that are summery. Wear floral. Drink lots of water. It helps your skin shine. Also, do not EVER forget to carry your sunnies. They keep your eyes safe from the hot sweltering day and help you stay Chic.

Coming back to this look, I have paired a beautiful floral Forever21 crop top with white palazzo pants from Westside Stores. I love white (a color without color). To add a pop of color, I'm wearing my mum's Zara moccasins and these colourful sunnies from Zara again. Also, I'm carrying a Forever New tote bag in the shade of pastel pink.

Tell me how you girls like this look in the comments below. Eeee! Goodnight lovelies! :)
Colourful sunnies from Zara and bag from Forever New, also available on Koovs Fashion.

Winters be like...

Bomber jacket and thigh-high boots from Koovs Fashion.
 Striped fitted skirt from H&M.

Greetings for the day!

Hello my lovelies. This is my first-ever blog post and I'm as excited writing it as you are reading it. :) This post will more or less be an introductory post wherein I will introduce myself to the world as a Fashion Blogger. Ah! (love this feeling) My name is Deepika Deshta, I'm in my early twenties and I hail from the Queen of Hills - Shimla. I currently reside in the Capital City and am looking forward to some amazing collaborations and meeting new blogger-friends.

Earlier as a child..
Well, I have always had a bent towards dressing up and looking fashionable at all times. When I was young I would dream of becoming a Super-Model (just like most of you girls out there) but as I grew up I realized how dressing up well can give you that confidence and the necessary boost to wake up and love yourself each and everyday, which makes you feel nothing less than your own sweet Super-Model.

What inspired me?
I cannot thank God enough for the sweet family and friends he has bestowed me with. I'm not much of an extrovert and have a limited circle of friends. So blogging, as I say, is the best medium to get talking to so many of you out there in the world (without any inhibitions). All my cousins and my friends have guided me through this and here i am today paying heed to their umpteen requests and starting my very own Blog.

Why be a Fashion-blogger?
Fashion comes naturally to me. I can literally spend all my time infront of the mirror trying to mix and match clothes and bring out the best in them. (Can you girls relate? :P) I love shopping and my mum usually complains when she sees me using all these rad online apps. Hehe! Also, I have a fetish for shoes and clothes, both, so this medium of blogging gives me my own space to showcase what I love and can maybe die for!

How will my posts benefit you?
We have many Fashion-Bloggers these days whose styles are different from that of the others and I'm in no comparison to them at all. I'm just a newbie. :) My blog may help you in deciding the right color schemes, knowing the latest trends off the runway, and primarily how to comfortably carry yourself so that people can usually get a sense of the kind of person you are. It would also be my absolute pleasure to be an inspiration to all you young and fashionable girls out there! :)

Not all my blog-posts will be this lengthy, but since this is the first, please bear with me. :P :)

Now, talking about my look in this blog-post, I'm wearing a KOOVS bomber jacket and thigh-high boots, with this beautifully striped H&M fitted skirt. This picture was clicked in my hometown where its never too hot to not wear a jacket! Lol

After all the talking, I hope you guys like this look, please leave in your comments. EXCITED!!
